Born in Western Australia, Lyn Hurry (B.A. Dip.Ed. Dip.T), was a high school teacher involved in amateur theatricals before travelling for ten years: camping around Europe, housekeeping in London and Hostessing aboard P&O cruise ships.

Works in progress include Stagelights (a collection of performance poetry) and Christmas treats (pageants).
For six years, Lyn produced GROW, a literary magazine for young adolescents. This developed into GROW- Under the Southern Cross, an anthology and CD of stories and poems featuring the writing of some of Australia’s best Christian writers for children.
In 2007 Lyn co-coordinated the inaugural Alpha2Omega Literary and Dramatic Arts Convention, the legacy of which is an annual Poetry and Short Story competition. See the website www.alpha2omega.org.au. She remainshe contact for the Brisbane-based Omega Writers group.
Now widowed, Lyn is actively interested in her adult children’s acting and music careers, while studying for her Masters in Creative Writing through Tabor Adelaide. She tutors privately, enjoys commissioned work, and is available for workshops and performances.
